Hello and welcome to another episode of The ClickUp Love Series.
Today I want to talk to you about the one feature in ClickUp that helps me stay on track and that’s the Home screen.
I start my day with the Home screen and that’s where I also spend most of my day.
The Home screen is more than just a to-do list. Yes, it has a list of all my reminders and all my tasks, but it also has a calendar view. And the calendar view is key because that shows me my schedule which means that I could have a very long list of things to do, but because everything has a start and end date, I can quickly see on my calendar if I have overbooked or underbooked myself.
And if I have, then I can easily reschedule things for later – later during the day or later during the week.
The other great thing about the calendar view on the Home screen is that it integrates with my Google calendar, so any meetings that I have booked will then appear on my Home screen so that I make sure that I don’t schedule any tasks during that time.
To me, the Home screen is essential and it has changed the way I work.
I’m now clear at the start of the day on what I want to work on. I have a clear plan for the day, so I don’t procrastinate at the start of the day and I’m not overwhelmed by a long list of things to do because everything has a timeslot.
And it also gives me clarity at the start of the day of how much I can accomplish so I have nothing or very little left on my to-do list at the end of the day because I was so clear from the start on how much I could accomplish.
And so that’s great because that means I’m not beating myself up at the end of the day for all the things I didn’t do because I was so clear on what I could actually do so that stops that vicious circle of negative self-talk.
And that’s why I love the Home screen and ClickUp so much.
See you next time.
